Privacy Policy
How iMage-to-Gcode handles information — in plain language for the Android app on Google Play, and for every user. An App Store (iOS) release may follow; this policy covers the shipping Play build and the same on-device model planned for iOS.
Who we are
Operated by Vladimir Skliar. Privacy questions: imagetogcode@gmail.com.
In short
- Photos and projects stay on your device.
- Image prep and G-code run on the device.
- No account needed for core use.
- A file leaves only if you use Share.
- The iOS app shows Google AdMob ads (banners and rewarded video). Ads may use a device advertising ID, which can be linked to you for tracking. Ads do not upload your photos or G-code.
What the app does
Take or choose a photo, prepare it, generate CNC G-code, preview the path, and optionally share the file. Recents stay on the phone until you delete them.
On your device
Stored locally while you work:
- Photos you take or choose
- Edits (crop, contrast, invert, and similar)
- Size and machine settings you enter
- Generated G-code
- Recent jobs until you remove them
We do not run a product server that receives your photos, settings, or G-code in normal use.
Permissions
- Camera — take a photo or preview size on a surface.
- Photo library — choose an existing picture.
You can refuse access in the system dialog and change it later in Settings. Without camera access, library pick may still work where the system allows.
Sharing
Share opens the system sheet. You choose the destination (Files, Drive, AirDrop, email, and so on). Those services have their own policies. The app does not upload files in the background.
Accounts
Core use needs no account, sign-in, name, or email inside the app.
Analytics and ads
The iOS app shows advertising from Google AdMob:
- Banner ads on the Home, Edit, and Simulation screens.
- Rewarded video ads after free generations. New users get a small free allotment, then a few free generations a day. After that, a rewarded ad can unlock another generation.
Ads may use a device identifier — the iOS advertising identifier, also called a Device ID — for third-party advertising. That identifier can be linked to you for tracking. This matches the App Privacy details in App Store Connect.
Photos, projects, and G-code still stay on the device. Ad requests do not upload your photos or G-code.
Google and AdMob handle ad data under their own rules. See the Google Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from apps that use its services.
You can limit or reset ad tracking on the iPhone in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Turn off “Allow Apps to Request to Track,” or deny tracking for this app. You can also limit personalized ads under Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising. Those controls apply on the device. They do not erase information Google may already hold under its own policy.
Apple may still collect its own device diagnostics under Apple’s policies. This website does not embed advertising or analytics scripts; the ads described here run in the iOS app.
Children
The app is a shop tool for adults, not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect children’s personal information. Contact us if you believe that happened by email — we will delete it.
Retention and delete
- Delete a Recent to remove that job and its file.
- Start a new photo to clear the current working picture.
- Uninstall the app to remove its local data (per your OS).
Support email is kept only as long as needed to answer, then removed when no longer needed.
Email you send us
Mail to imagetogcode@gmail.com includes what you send. We use it to reply and improve the product. We do not sell it.
Stores and this site
Google Play handles Android downloads under Google’s rules: Play listing. An App Store (iOS) release may come later under Apple’s rules. This site is hosted on GitHub Pages (standard web logs may apply). The site itself does not embed ads or analytics scripts.
Changes
If practices change, we update this page and the effective date. Store listings keep this URL as the privacy link.
